A team of passionate biology students and nature enthusiasts from Toronto.
We started as a group of biology students at the University of Toronto who shared a passion for wildlife and animal welfare. After spending countless weekends exploring nature reserves, zoological gardens, and conservation areas across the GTA, we realized there was no single independent resource that brought all this information together in a clear, accessible way.
So in 2024, we launched this website — an independent educational guide for tourists, students, and families who want to learn about Ontario's incredible biodiversity. We are not affiliated with any official institution. We write from our personal experience and research.
We believe that education is the foundation of conservation. Our goal is to make wildlife knowledge accessible to everyone — from elementary school students researching a class project to families planning their first visit to a zoological garden. We cover exhibits, conservation programs, seasonal tips, and practical visitor information, all written in a friendly, approachable tone.
This website is funded through two primary sources:
We never accept payment in exchange for reviews or recommendations. Our editorial content is independent. For more details, see our Advertise page.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the official Toronto Zoo or any other zoological institution. All information is compiled from publicly available sources and our personal visits. We encourage readers to always verify details like opening hours, ticket prices, and event schedules with the official sources.
